Hello Everyone,

I am very excited for our next fundraiser, which will be a 'multipurpose' event the weekend of Fleet Week in San Francisco on the Marina Green, Saturday, October 10th, 900 - 1600. And possibly Sunday October 11th, 900 - 1600 (only with parents help). We will be enjoying the day(s) in the heart of the military setup while informing people about Arkansas Division and raising money for our unit. For those who have never been on the Marina Green side during Fleet Week, the military has all kinds of things setup for the public to see first hand. They have tanks and other artillery you can go in, a medical tent and kitchen used overseas, interact with scuba divers submerged in water, friendly yet challenging competitions, and much more. Not to mention the reason everyone is there for, the awesome Blue Angels!

Saturday cadets (& parents who would like to help) will be assisting Fleet Week with some of their duties. They will be providing lunches and shirts. We will have a tent setup on the Marina Green along with all the other military setups. We will have a Spin the Wheel with prizes to attract people to our tent. We will hand out information about Sea Cadet Corps and continue to sell raffle tickets.

Sunday cadets will be aboard the USS O'Brien 0830 - 1745. With the cadets there, we will need parent volunteers to assist Fleet Week in order to have our tent setup this day.

Please let me know by Monday, September 28th which cadets (& parents) can be there Saturday, October 10th and parents who can assist Sunday, October 11th. I will be turning in our attendance to Fleet Week next week.
